Only had time to do a little bit of work today so what I did was transfer the Cello part into the Double Bass in the second section and write a different accompaniment for the Cello. This quaver accompaniment that can be seen in the example is a direct inversion of the Viola part and provides a link between the simplicity of the double bass part and the complexity of the Viola part.
