Today I began writing more in depth lesson plans for the Year 12 Unit of Work which I am currently writing for the Music 2 Mandatory Topic – Music of the Last 25 Years (Australian Focus). I am currently half way through writing the lesson plans which I need to submit for the assignment and will hopefully finish these soon.
A strong positive which I have noticed from writing these lesson plans in addition to the less in depth unit of work lesson outlines is that I realise how many more resources I actually require to teach each lesson. For example, having a weekly schedule to distribute to the students at the start of the term/unit was something that completely slipped my mind when I initially commenced writing the unit however I realised I required it when writing the more in depth lesson plans.
